The halls and walls of the Garth Hotel, one of Gower Street's smallest hotels, are packed with antique prints and posters, adding an element of fun and surprise to this bed-and-breakfast. Housed in a typical 18th-century Georgian townhouse near the British Museum, the hotel offers 17 rooms, both with en suite bathrooms and shared facilities, as well as a few with shower only.
During our last visit to the Garth, we took up three singles with shared facilities. Two faced the street (and its noise) and one faced the back garden. Again, room decor was Old English, if a bit rough around the edges. One of us was occasionally disturbed by the banging of the hallway doors.
