The Montin's prime Dorsoduro location, mere minutes from the Galleria Accademia and Guggenheim collections, will win you over in a heartbeat, and may even inspire a poem.
Enter through the 100-year-old restaurant and head upstairs. All six rooms open into a great, dimly-lit salotto, where paintings cram the walls and a large, dark wood table and cozy arm chairs beg for a good book discussion.
Airy, open rooms are done up in equally arty style, with wrought iron headboards,
floral spreads, parquet floors, miniature oriental rugs, and a whole range of paintings. Bathrooms are clean, simple and standard. The staff is lovable, if not entirely fluent in English. Guests get a discount at their restaurant.
